New gun owners may not be familiar with the manual of arms or basic maintenance required to keep their personal firearm in good working order. Moreover and even more important, many new gun owners, and even some experienced gun owners, have never received formal instruction in basic gun safety. This class is designed to give new gun owners a comprehensive safety brief as well as a functional understanding of the controls and basic maintenance of their firearm.
Upon Completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate the essential elements of firearm safety
- Clear and “make safe” your own personal firearm to Shoot Center standards
- Disassemble your personal firearm for maintenance.
- Perform basic cleaning and maintenance on your personal firearm
